Job Readiness / Career Services

• Resumes - We assist residents in developing and updating resumes with corresponding cover letters and interview follow up letters. We also conduct mock interviews to enhance interview etiquette.

• Job Search – Our resource counselors have created a job bank along with job leads in a 10 to 20 mile radius.

• College Loans – We link clients to agencies that assist in financial aid and student loans. We will provide referrals to local College financial aid offices based on the Federal Disability Act. This federal act makes all of our clients eligible for the Tap and Pell grants with full time enrollment.

• Trades – We provide agency referrals to local One Stop Career Centers for grants that pay for trade and certificate courses.

• GED/ High School Diplomas – We provide agency referrals to local One Stop Career Centers that assist with this area as well. We also provide a listing of the local GED/HS Diploma course providers and online resources to help with study material and preparation.

Client Cash

Client cash is money provided by you or your family for your personal expenses. This service provides you with an allotted daily cash amount to help you learn how to manage your money so that you can be freed from anxiety and stress.  To provide structure and consistency, we provide transportation for scheduled weekly grocery shopping for all clients.

Health Services

We assist with securing the necessary paperwork and documents to establish health care appointments along with agency referrals to the following:

• Doctors

• Dentists

• Pharmacy

• Therapist

• Nutritionists

• Psychiatrists

• IOP

Other Social Services

• Food Stamps – We have direct applications for emergency food and financial assistance in our Resource Department.

• Banking – We encourage all clients to open a savings then a checking account. We assist by doing scheduled bank trips.

• Bus Passes – We assist client in the process of obtaining discount and free bus passes.

• Tax Services – We have a community partnership with a professional tax office.

• Legal Assistance – We provide agency referrals for legal aid. We draft letters for our residents for applicable legal matters such as court dates, lawyers, probation compliance, etc…
